In 2024, Arizona will be a premier battleground state with highly competitive races to elect Democrats at every level of the ticket. The Arizona Democratic Party is seeking Regional Organizing Directors that will manage a team of Organizers that will engage supporters and mobilize voters to cast their ballot for President Biden and Arizona Democrats.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team of Organizers responsible for mobilizing volunteers and supporters across their geographic turf
Coach and support Organizers to successfully implement the organizing plan in their turf and meet metrics
Ensure Organizers and volunteers are trained and have the skills and tools needed to be successful in their roles
Create systems that lead Organizers to prioritize and meet metric goals
Create positive and focused culture that can motivate your team in a fast paced environment
Consistently meet stated deadlines and communicate with your manager when challenges arise
Skills & Qualifications:
1-2 cycles of organizing experience
Highly organized and able to work independently
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds
Strong communication skills and the ability to state your needs and those of the staff you manage
Solutions-oriented, creative, and flexible problem solver
Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required
Arizona ties a plus, but not required
Logistics:
Location: This is an in-person, full time position in Arizona for the 2024 election cycle
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until positions are filled
Driver’s license and access to a vehicle required
Benefits: Eligible for UnitedHealthcare Medical, Dental, Vision plan at no premium
This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by the IBEW.
Salary for this position is $5,250 per month from the start date through August and increases to $6,050 from September through November
