JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Regional Organizing Director - Coordinated 

POSITION: Regional Organizing Director - Coordinated DESCRIPTIONIn 2024, Arizona will be a premier battleground state with highly competitive races to elect Democrats at every level of the ticket. The Arizona Democratic Party is seeking Regional Organizing Directors that will manage a team of Organizers that will engage supporters and mobilize voters to cast their ballot for President Biden and Arizona Democrats.

 

Logistics:

  • Location: This is an in-person, full time position in Arizona for the 2024 election cycle

  • Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until positions are filled

  • Driver’s license and access to a vehicle required

  • Benefits: Eligible for UnitedHealthcare Medical, Dental, Vision plan at no premium

  • This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by the IBEW.

  • Salary for this position is $5,250 per month from the start date through August and increases to $6,050 from September through November

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Organizers responsible for mobilizing volunteers and supporters across their geographic turf

  • Coach and support Organizers to successfully implement the organizing plan in their turf and meet metrics

  • Ensure Organizers and volunteers are trained and have the skills and tools needed to be successful in their roles

  • Create systems that lead Organizers to prioritize and meet metric goals

  • Create positive and focused culture that can motivate your team in a fast paced environment

  • Consistently meet stated deadlines and communicate with your manager when challenges arise

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-2 cycles of organizing experience

  • Highly organized and able to work independently

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to state your needs and those of the staff you manage

  • Solutions-oriented, creative, and flexible problem solver

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required

  • Arizona ties a plus, but not required
