JOB SUMMARY
For Our Future Wisconsin seeks a full-time Regional Organizing Director to manage our organizing, political, and voter contact programs. They will be responsible for building a robust volunteer and grassroots organizing operation, engaging in coalition building activities, coordinating with key stakeholders, and managing paid outreach staff within your assigned region. Responsibilities may grow to include managing a regional team and a paid canvass operation. This position may require frequent travel throughout the assigned region, Western Wisconsin including: La Crosse, Green Bay, or Eau Claire.
This position is anticipated to run through at least December 12, 2024.
Essential Functions
Engage in coalition building and coordinating with local and regional partners and volunteers to build stronger long-term progressive capacity in the region.
Spearhead local grassroots in-person and virtual actions, organizing events, and phone banks around priority issues and upcoming elections.
Collaborate with departmental leadership to implement the state plan in the assigned region.
Conduct regular volunteer recruitment calls, volunteer management activities, and direct voter contact calls and door knocking.
Implement and monitor systems to ensure regionally assigned metrics are met or exceeded and ensure all reporting is up-to-date.
Coordinate with the digital and communications departments to build grassroots capacity in these areas.
Positively represent the organization at virtual and in-person community events and meetings.
Hire, train, and manage regional staff and volunteers to execute a comprehensive field and digital organizing program including potential paid canvass and caller operations.

Skills and Qualifications
At least two (2) cycles of competitive campaign organizing experience.
At least one (1) cycle of experience managing a team and hitting competitive field goals.
Must have access to reliable transportation, a valid driver's license/insurance/registration, and clean driving record for at least 1 year, per organizations drivers policy.
Experience with digital organizing, coalition building, or communications is a plus.
At least two years of relationship-based organizing and leadership development experience, including one-on-one meetings and team building.
Flexibility and readiness to adapt and change responsibilities and programming quickly as conditions change.
Ability to outreach and build partnerships with other progressive organizations.
Familiarity with the Wisconsin progressive landscape; localized knowledge preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of scaling voter contact programs and best practices for high quality voter contact that meets metric-based goals.
Demonstrated experience working on projects with high-productivity, juggling several priorities that may change quickly, and meeting tight deadlines.
Must have computer literacy and access to a reliable laptop, is ideal.
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure while handling multiple projects.
Experience in supporting media and communications programming, preferred.
Bilingual experience is a plus, but not required.
Ability to maintain "Independent" firewall status, which may limit your ability to take outside employment or to volunteer with a candidate campaign or political party organization.
Ability to work long and irregular hours in a high-productivity, metrics-driven work environment.
Experience implementing a statewide field plan tailored to an assigned region.
Physical Requirements
This is a hybrid position and will require a physical presence in the local office
Prolonged periods of remaining in a stationary position at a desk and working on a computer
Must be comfortable with conducting door-to-door canvassing for direct voter contact.
Must be able to transport up to 15 pounds at times
Must be able to travel across ** various parts of Wisconsin including La Crosse, Eau Claire, and Green Bay.**

Expected Hours of Work
Normal hours of business are from 10:00 AM to at least 7:00 pm CST Tuesday thru Saturday, however employees will be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends and nights.
Employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Employees are required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle or other key deadlines, and generally not allowed to take off during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.
Work Environment
Door-to-door canvassing could be considered an essential function of this job in the future. Employees may be required to work in extreme weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold. This position is expected to interact regularly face-to-face with voters, volunteers or community partners. If state and government stay-at-home orders, phased reopening orders, or other factors related to the COVID-19 virus (or any other reason) limit For Our Future’s ability to engage safely in in-person work, employees may be assigned other duties to be conducted from their homes.
