West New York
Capital Region and the North Country

About the Campaign
James for NY is the re-election campaign of New York Attorney General Letitia James. Attorney General James has spent her career fighting for New Yorkers. We are building a statewide team that reflects New York and runs through Election Day, November 3, 2026.
The Role
Regional Political Managers own the campaign’s political relationships in an assigned region of New York State. You will be the campaign’s daily presence with elected officials, county and local party organizations, labor, and community leaders — building the endorsement map, staffing the Attorney General and surrogates when they come through, and making sure the campaign hears what your region is saying before anyone else does.
What You'll Do
Own the relationship map — build and maintain relationships with elected officials, party committees, labor unions, and civic leaders across your region.
Deliver endorsements — identify, prioritize, and secure endorsements from officials and organizations, and turn them into visible support.
Advance the principal — plan and staff visits by the Attorney General and campaign surrogates in your region, from run of show to local invitations.
Work the partner landscape — coordinate with allied campaigns, party organizations, and partner programs operating in your region so efforts complement rather than collide.
Report what you see — feed political intelligence — local dynamics, press, opportunities, and problems — back to campaign leadership quickly and honestly.
Build the regional calendar — maintain a forward calendar of the events, meetings, and moments that matter in your region.
What We're Looking For
Required
At least one full cycle of political, field, or organizing experience on a campaign or in a comparable political role
Strong knowledge of New York political geography and institutions
Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with elected officials and community leaders
Excellent judgment and discretion in politically sensitive situations
Ability to travel extensively within the region; valid driver’s license
Comfort working independently on a distributed team
Preferred
Existing relationships in the region for which you are applying
Experience with labor, county party, or advance work
Experience staffing a principal or surrogate program
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $8,000/mo + $1,000/mo healthcare stipend
This is a full-time, cycle-length position running through November 2026.
