Reports to: Research Director
Location: Miami, FL
Debbie for Florida is seeking a ** Research Associate** to join a growing research team. This person will work with the research team to support rapid response, vetting, and other research needs.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research using public records, news clips, campaign finance reports, travel records, personal finance disclosures, and research databases;
Work on team projects to produce comprehensive reports that will be shared with senior staff;
Write rapid response documents on tight timelines with precision and attention to detail;
Identify newsworthy events from news clips and media monitoring reports;
Perform other research duties as needed
Qualifications:
Excellent writing skills using Microsoft Word and Excel and attention to detail when it comes to organization and formatting;
Experience summarizing primary source documents and information from research databases such as LexisNexis;
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and a dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive team environment;
Independent and proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to ask meaningful questions, communicate effectively, and identify potential issues;
Previous campaign experience is preferred; transferable experience in policy, journalism, legal, and other political work is also ideal;
Access to cell phone, laptop, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
Passion for flipping Florida and holding Rick Scott accountable

Location:
This position is based in Miami, FL and will involve some travel around the state.
Salary:
The salary for this position is $4500 per month.
