We’re looking for a Founding Sales Director, Nonprofit Products to join our growing team. This is a newly-formed role, and this individual will be considerably expanding the existing non-profit market outbound sales pipeline to complement the success of our existing political client market.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the individual in this role will develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy focused on acquiring new C3/C4-focused clients and broadening existing client relationships to drive and meet considerable revenue goals.
In first year, develop comprehensive sales strategy for new non-profit market
Identify prospective clients and develop strong outbound sales pipeline in line with target goals
Manage and expand new and existing client relationships
Advance prospective clients across full lifecycle including initial outreach, intake, product pitch, product demonstration, contract negotiation, and closing/signature
Develop sales forecasts for senior leadership
Regularly track and report sales goal metrics, progress, and performance to senior leadership
Collaborate with Head of Sales, executive team, customer success team, engineering/development, and administrative support staff to align the non-profit sales goals and approaches with those of the overall company
Note: this role will not initially supervise any direct reports, but as the department grows we anticipate this role encompassing managerial responsibilities
Demonstrated deep understanding of non-profit organizations, their funding models, data acquisition practices, and operational challenges
4-6 years experience in technology sales preferred
2-3+ years experience as a sales leader with primary oversight over a primary sales vertical within a technology company preferred
Demonstrated experience achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a software or technology company - bonus: within data broker or non-profit/political data broker technology company
Advanced experience using a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) application/platform in a professional setting, including Salesforce, Hubspot, Close, etc.
Zealous about the foundational work of building and expanding a new sales vertical within an already-thriving company
Flexible demeanor - able to switch courses with new data and input
Strong verbal and written skills
Ability to work remotely, and frequently independently, within a defined scope of work
A demonstrated commitment to progressive values, and a passion for furthering the mission of the organization and industry
