Calendar & Candidate Management
Manage and maintain the candidate’s daily and long-term schedule.
Assist with maintaining the campaign manager’s schedule.
Coordinate all candidate movements, logistics, and timing for events, meetings, travel, and call time.
Prepare and distribute daily schedules, briefing materials, and itinerary updates.
Ensure the candidate remains on schedule throughout the day and adjust logistics in real time as needed.
Serve as the candidate’s primary “body person” during campaign activities and travel.
Scheduling & Event Coordination
Manage incoming scheduling and event requests from internal and external stakeholders.
Collect, track, and organize all necessary information and details.
Confirm logistics directly with stakeholders, including timing, location, parking, speaking program, attendee expectations, and point-of-contact information.
Maintain scheduling systems and calendars with accuracy and attention to detail.
Flag scheduling conflicts, political considerations, and logistical concerns for senior staff.
Internal Campaign Coordination
Interface regularly with senior campaign leadership, junior staff, consultants, and external partners regarding candidate scheduling priorities.
Coordinate closely with political, communications, finance, advance, and operations departments to ensure smooth execution of campaign events.
Provide regular scheduling updates and logistical information to campaign leadership.

Operations & Logistics
Assist with travel planning, route coordination, and event logistics.
Track schedule changes and communicate updates quickly and clearly to relevant staff.
Support candidate preparation by ensuring all materials, timing, and logistics are in place ahead of events.
Help maintain organizational systems for scheduling requests, approvals, and follow-up.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism when interacting with stakeholders, elected officials, staff, and community members.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
Willingness to work long hours, including on nights and weekends, and travel extensively.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment under pressure.
Previous campaign, political, internship, or scheduling experience is preferred but not required.
