JOB DESCRIPTION

Gallego for Arizona seeks a talented, organized, and innovative individual to join our growing operations team. The ** Scheduling & Operations Manager** will work closely with the Operations Director in all aspects of the campaign’s operations including helping to manage the Congressman’s schedule, overseeing logistics for campaign trips, and ensuring staff have the resources and supplies they need to succeed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, hardworking, and works well as a member of a team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the political, communication, finance, and digital departments to track and organize the many moving pieces of Congressman Gallego’s schedule.

 

  • Work closely with the Operations Director and Scheduler to ensure each department submits staffing plans and briefing memos on time.

 

  • Ensure updates to the Congressman’s schedule are clearly communicated to relevant staff.

 

  • Collaborate with the Operations Director to execute logistical plans for trips and campaign events including booking travel arrangements for the Congressman and traveling staff and working with vendors to get necessary supplies.

 

  • Assist Operations Director with operations needs such as maintaining general office needs, onboarding staff, and other logistical aspects of the campaign

 

  • Other projects as assigned by the Operations Director

 

Qualifications

  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new things 

 

  • Attention to detail, an ability to work under tight deadlines, and strong organizational skills

 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

  • Prior experience in political campaigns, event planning, scheduling, or a similar role is highly desirable.

 

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

 

  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality

 

  • Willingness to work long hours and irregular campaign hours, including nights and weekends as needed

 

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
