JOB DESCRIPTION

Trilogy Interactive is a full-service digital agency. For over a decade, we have stood at the forefront of the digital revolution in the Democratic political and nonprofit space. We’re reshaping what’s possible in the world of politics through our award-winning programs for campaigns, nonprofits, and organizations.

We are a team of dynamic, diverse, and passionate Democrats who work with some of the biggest names in politics. We tell stories that turn heads. We win progress when it matters the most.

We are looking for a Seasonal Senior Strategist with digital advertising experience to join our team through the 2024 election. Do you love building long-term relationships? Do you look at ads in your news feed and think, “I wonder what they did for targeting? Why did they choose this piece of creative?” Do you have experience managing digital projects to meet aggressive deadlines and goals? If so, throw your hat in the ring and apply to be our newest account leader today.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Strategist, you will manage a team to deliver industry-leading results for a host of political, advocacy, and nonprofit clients. Drawing on your experience with Democratic politics, digital media, and project management, you will develop innovative digital advocacy and advertising campaigns that shape your community and the country’s future.

While your experience should include persuasion and mobilizing advertising, you’ll need to be able to hit the ground running with new client work that may include email and social media components as well.

Senior Strategists need to:

  • Manage relationships with 3-5 clients, -- including leading conference calls and overseeing budgets

  • Work with Trilogy’s leading ad buying, creative, social media, and email production teams to deploy robust digital programs across a host of platforms (email, ads, social, etc).

  • Oversee digital content development and creative production, reporting, and optimization of clients' campaign plans

  • Provide final internal approval of all client deliverables

  • Research, test, and implement new digital advertising and marketing strategies and tactics

  • Monitor Trilogy’s internal operational systems including ad spend tracking, time tracking, and budgeting tools

Qualifications

At Trilogy, we’ve got a big job to do and not a lot of time before the 2024 cycle heats up. So this leader needs to be ready to jump in on day one! People with varied experience, backgrounds, and interests can excel at this position, though previous advertising experience is a must. Here are a few traits that a successful Senior Strategist will bring to the table:

  • You are experienced: You have 4+ years of experience in digital marketing or professional politics. You are familiar with project managing ad projects (television, print, and/or digitals ads). You lead the digital department of a major campaign, committee, nonprofit, or advocacy org; or you’re currently doing similar work at a digital agency and looking for a chance to grow.

  • You are organized: You excel at guiding multiple people through dozens of tasks, all at once, without ever missing a beat. You do it by creating processes and systems that ensure the work is scalable and mistake-free.

  • You empower diverse perspectives: You recognize the value that team members bring to our work based on their unique life experiences. You collaboratively and respectfully draw on these experiences to produce high-quality, culturally competent work.

  • You are always pushing the envelope: You aren't just interested in checking boxes; rather, you continually push your team. You don’t just follow best practices. You strive to create new ones by testing new strategies that improve results.

  • You love building relationships: Your communications, whether in person or by phone or email, aren't just about the next task. They develop long-term rapport with clients, partners, and fellow team members.

  • You are a leader: You take an interest in the personal and professional growth of your fellow team members. You contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Location

Washington, D.C. or Berkeley, CA preferred (hybrid schedule, two days in-office). Fully remote candidates will also be considered.
