McKenna Media is a 100% woman-owned Democratic media firm specializing in TV, digital, and strategic communications for campaigns and progressive causes. We’re looking for a ** Senior Account Executive** to serve as a key member of our team—someone who can contribute to media strategy, help assist with scripts and messaging, keep internal systems organized, and proactively find ways to help our clients win. We need a sharp, strategic thinker who is very organized and willing to roll up their sleeves and support our clients and our team however and whenever needed.** This is currently a cycle hire.**
• Participating in client calls and help assist with day to day strategy at all levels of the ballot
• Run point on setting up an organized system to liaise with media buyers on logistics, spot traffic, shipping spots
• Assist with research backup on scripts and organize cites
• Maintaining the firm’s internal organizational and external communications systems, including Google Drive, Dropbox, Mailchimp and more
• Work alongside production team to coordinate spot editing timeline and prioritization
• Helping build budgets and manage invoices and payables
• Contribute to the development of paid media strategies across TV, digital, and radio
• Contribute to the development of scripts, messaging documents, and talking points
• Jump in how and where you need – be proactive to solve problems and assist clients
• Help build and manage internal systems to track budgets, invoices, scripts and production
• Maintain the firm’s internal systems and organizational tools (Google Drive, Dropbox, Mailchimp, etc.)
• Support scheduling, logistics, and other operational tasks as needed across multiple races and clients
• 1–4 cycles of campaign experience, whether as staff, consultant, or in a political organization
• Experience at a consulting firm servicing political or advocacy clients, and/or being a campaign manager at the federal level, is not necessary but a plus
• Strong political instincts and a genuine understanding of what it takes to win races
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft scripts, talking points, and client communications
• Comfort in client-facing situations
• Self-starter mentality and ability to work independently and remotely
• Familiarity with TV and/or digital media buying, budgeting, and vendor relationships
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when managing budgets and timelines
• This role is not indented to be a marketing or business development position at this time.
