The 270 Team
270 Strategies helps causes, campaigns, and companies meet people where they are and inspire them to act. From leading billion-dollar campaigns to incubating new causes and companies, we’ve been there. Now, we help organizations recruit and activate the people they care about — and share the stories of their successes.
We partner with our clients to build winning campaigns and put their ideas into action. We believe that the best way to engage people in the 21st century is to integrate people-centered, grassroots organizing with sophisticated digital strategies, effective communications, and a data-driven approach.
In short: we help campaigns, causes, and companies reach their goals by engaging, inspiring, and mobilizing their target audiences in authentic ways — both online and offline.
We are committed to diversity among our staff, and deeply believe that our continued success requires the highest commitment to obtaining and retaining a diverse staff that provides the best quality services to clients and constituents.
We are an equal opportunity employer and it is 270 Strategies’ policy to recruit, hire, train, promote and administer any and all personnel actions without regard to sex, race, age, color, creed, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, ethnic identity or physical disability, or any other legally protected basis.
The Senior Associate Job
Associates are the engines of our teams. The practical ones. The do-ers. They provide critical organization and logistical support to client teams, while also contributing to strategic development and creative brainstorming. They make everything possible with their attention to detail and drive to execute, and are provided opportunities to learn and grow from working directly with our senior leadership.
As a Senior Associate, you will be primarily responsible for 1) helping execute on client strategy and 2) providing support to client teams.
You’ll do things like:
Contribute to public engagement strategies for campaigns, companies, and causes
Draft proposals, plans, presentations, and campaign materials for prospective and current clients
Help execute campaign initiatives
Design and manage reporting on benchmarks and progress to goal
Coordinate with internal and external teams by taking notes, sharing updates, and scheduling meetings
Create training materials and help facilitate trainings
Two-Year Commitment
This role will be a two-year commitment that’s designed to provide a broad foundation of best practices for strategic engagement. In your first year as a Senior Associate, you will play an integral support role on our client teams. You will develop polished consulting skills and will produce presidential level work. After completing your first year, you will play a bigger role managing client relationships and leading projects. Toward the end of your second year at 270 Strategies, we will help you find your next role.

Fully Remote
270 Strategies is fully remote. We come together at least once a year for a staff retreat and get together, and meet in-person for some client projects.

Enthusiasm for a team-based work environment
A sense of humor; a willingness to embrace both your own quirks and others’; the flexibility to play many different roles; and a passion for progressive issues
