JOB DESCRIPTION

About The Campaign

Tim Peck is dedicated to making a positive transformational impact in Indiana’s 9th Congressional District. With a background as a doctor and business leader, Tim is committed to advocating for the needs of all Hoosiers, regardless of political affiliation. His campaign is built on inclusivity and a bipartisan approach to addressing our community’s pressing issues.

Tim champions the diverse voices and experiences of all Hoosiers, including women, the working poor, rural voters, farmers, Black communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, frontline healthcare workers, teachers, union members, small business owners, and young voters who feel overlooked by their government. He approaches these communities with a centrist message of fiscal responsibility and investment, promoting democratic social causes through collaboration and compromise.

Driven by a deep concern for working families' economic struggles, Tim aims to combat these challenges by investing in workforce training, ensuring affordable education, and supporting apprenticeships. He is committed to ensuring that the government works hard to support essential services that our communities depend on and criticizes any actions that could disrupt this support.

Tim’s unwavering commitment to advocating for better healthcare and creating opportunities for Hoosier families is at the heart of this inspiring campaign.

Our mission is to solve problems by listening and working with people from all walks of life. We pledge to serve all residents of Indiana’s 9th District, prioritizing social progress with sound fiscal responsibility. Join us in bringing positive change to our community and ensuring that every family has the opportunity to thrive.

Key issues at the forefront of our campaign include:

FIRST AND FOREMOST IS BIPARTISAN COOPERATION.

  • Quality Healthcare: Refocus healthcare on the patient, the patient experience and quality health outcomes.

  • Economic Empowerment: Targeted economic development, prioritizing job creation, skills training, and supporting local businesses.

  • Education: Investing in education for all ages and promoting affordable higher education and job training to prepare our community for the future.

  • Supporting Farming Communities: Strengthening and supporting our vital agricultural sector. Advancing fair trade practices and common sense subsidies while promoting sustainable farming practices.

  • Worker Rights: Protecting the rights of workers and advocating for fair labor practices. Fair work practices, better wages, safer workplaces, and job security for the citizens of our district.

  • Government Efficiency: Reducing wasteful spending and enhancing the efficiency of government operations.

  • Reproductive Freedom: Ensuring that women have the right to make their own reproductive health choices without government interference.

Why This Race is Winnable?

IN-9, traditionally a moderate Democratic area, began swinging Republican about ten years ago but is now trending back towards the middle. In the 2023 election, many local seats previously held by Republicans, including mayors, town council members, sheriffs, and prosecutors, flipped to Democrats. The media market from Louisville, Kentucky, where moderate Democrat Andy Beshear won, and the proximity to Ohio, where progressive wins occurred, create a favorable regional influence.

Bloomington, IN-9’s largest city, is predominantly Democratic, providing a strong base for the campaign. Women voters are expected to play a crucial role in the 2024 election, particularly following recent actions by Republican Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, which have mobilized women voters. Additionally, the recent arrest of the IN-9 Republican chair and county sheriff for fraudulent acts has generated distrust in the local Republican party.

The stage is set for the district to return to a common-sense moderate community with Midwestern sensibilities, and Tim is the leader to guide this transformation.
