About Us
Guardrails Action is a 501c4 organization aligning the policy and organizing coalition necessary to contend for power and pave the way for a future trajectory of AI that benefits everyone–not just the AI industry. Guardrails Action uses a four-pronged approach:
Policy: Advancing an AI agenda that puts people in charge of the tech that governs their lives
** Accountability Campaigning:** Holding policymakers accountable to a pro-regulatory agenda
** Inside-Outside Organizing:** Collaborating on with and between policy experts, movement leaders, and members of congress to win
** Grassroots Mobilization:** Ensuring the people most impacted by AI harms are at the forefront of policy debates.
We believe AI can be good for people and the world. But a future in which AI serves people requires rules, accountability, and a government that actually represents the public — not just its donors.
