JOB DESCRIPTION

The Social Media & Video Content Coordinator is responsible for

producing compelling, video-driven content that advances Peter Hubbard’s policy priorities and

ultimately his reelection campaign to the GA PSC. This role plays a central part in shaping the

public narrative by capturing real-time moments from the field, editing engaging video content,

and distributing it across social media platforms. This position requires a highly creative, fast-

moving storyteller who is comfortable working in political and campaign environments, including

frequent travel to events, press conferences, and community gatherings.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality video and photo content at campaign events, press appearances, and community and PSC-related activities.

  • Travel regularly to support on-the-ground campaign needs, including evenings and weekends [note: this is a statewide, with 159 counties!]

  • Edit short-form and long-form video content optimized for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube.

  • Develop and maintain a video-first content calendar aligned with campaign priorities.

  • Quickly turn around content to capitalize on rapid-response moments and breaking news.

  • Write captions and supporting text that are clear, compelling, and aligned with campaign messaging.

  • Manage posting and distribution across all social media platforms.

  • Monitor engagement and adjust content strategies based on performance.

  • Collaborate closely with campaign leadership, communications staff, and other campaign teams for joint social media promotions.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1–3+ years of experience in social media, digital communications, or political campaigns. [interest and expertise in energy and climate policy is a ++]

  • Demonstrated experience shooting and editing video content with a required portfolio.

  • Proficiency with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.

  • Strong understanding of platform-specific video formats, trends, and algorithms.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond quickly in a fast-paced campaign environment.

  • Willingness to travel frequently and work nontraditional hours.

  • Strong storytelling instincts, visual content strategy, and political awareness.
