JOB DESCRIPTION

Missourians for Constitutional Freedom is a statewide coalition of organizations and concerned citizens from across the state working to establish the right for all Missourians to make decisions about our own reproductive health care – including abortion, birth control, and miscarriage care– without interference from politicians. MCF seeks to run this campaign in a way that not only leads us to victory, but also builds long-term grassroots power and infrastructure in Missouri.

MCF has turned in double the required signatures needed to appear on the ballot in 2024 and is currently awaiting certification. The Social Media Manager will report to the Deputy Campaign Manager and be responsible for all aspects of the campaign’s social media.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Campaign Manager, Deputy Campaign Manager, Communications Committee, and communications and digital consultants to direct strategy and day-to-day workflow of the campaigns’ social media channels and website.

  • Working with the communications team to develop high-quality, innovative videos, graphic, and written content for social media and our website, coordinating with the communications and digital teams to ensure quality and visibility.

  • Initiating and coordinating digital partnerships with advocacy groups and other entities to further our online audience and brand.

  • Monitoring social media throughout the day to provide news updates.

  • Supporting event planning, promotion, and volunteer outreach, as well as assisting with other projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years (or 1 campaign cycle) experience working in digital fundraising, social media, or communications; including some experience managing and executing digital strategy and day to day social media posts.

  • Exceptional written communication skills, including extensive experience learning and writing in a leader’s “voice” for different social media platforms.

  • Familiarity with core graphic design principles and basic fluency with graphic design and video editing software.

  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analytics for social media and website performance.

  • Personal passion for abortion access and reproductive justice; enthusiasm for political campaigns; and ability to execute tasks in a team dynamic.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and learn quickly.
