Our purpose is to help digital teams conserve precious time and energy so they can focus on running creative, data-driven digital programs.

As part of the Quiller engineering team, you will be responsible for implementing key product features, conducting user research and experiments, and optimizing frontend and backend performance/scalability.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and deploy key components of Quiller’s AI-enabled content platform, ensuring its scalability, performance, and usability.

  • Move effectively from product requirements to technical design and implementation.

  • Collaborate customer-facing teams to scope product requirements and address customer feedback or support issues

  • Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance of platform frontend and infrastructure.

  • Ensure robust security, data protection, and software quality within an agile development process.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience of frontend/backend software development working on production code in a team environment.

  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling (e.g. React, Next.js, Nest.js, Cypress, Jest)

  • Understanding of fundamental database concepts and experience with PostgreSQL

  • Experience in supporting the end-to-end product development lifecycle from user need to prototype to scaled production use

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with generative AI tools, including tuning LLMs for natural language processing (NLP) tasks

  • Familiarity with political tech, fundraising tech, or nonprofit sector tools

  • Familiarity with CRMs and other political tools like NGP, Action Network, ActBlue, Mobilize, ActionKit, etc

  • Demonstrated design and UX research experience

  • Enthusiasm for solving real-world problems as a part of teams that strive to embody qualities of Ethics, Drive, Courage, Trust, and Ownership

Other Considerations

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States or Canada; we are unable to sponsor visas at this time

  • Must be fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus

  • Often, potential applicants will submit an application only when they feel that they have met nearly all of the qualifications for a role—we strongly encourage you to take a chance and submit your application if you are truly excited about this work and match some of the qualifications.
