WHO WE ARE:

Red Wine & Blue is a national community of diverse suburban women working together to defeat extremism, one friend at a time (best explained by this Washington Post profile, ‘Blue’ suburban moms are mobilizing to counter conservatives and this NYT episode of “The Daily,” Why Suburban Women Changed Their Minds). We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Director, Strategic Organizing to oversee the day-to-day operations of our on-the-ground organizing teams in our five target states (Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia).

RWB works year round to develop organizing infrastructure in key suburban areas in our target states. We empower women to engage in local organizing by providing the training, support and resources they need to be successful. RWB’s focus is on relational organizing and building a program where volunteers mobilize and persuade women in their networks to win elections in key geographies. The Sr. Director, Strategic Organizing will be integral in helping us address the challenges of relational organizing including; 1) scaling the program to meet volunteer recruitment goals; 2) consistent reporting of relational outreach by volunteers; and 3) successfully integrating a relational program into a year round organizing strategy.

**WHO YOU ARE: **You thrive in planning, organizing, and executing strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals. You are often described as a passionate leader with strong communications skills who pays attention to the details and knows how to get stuff done. Preference will be given to candidates who live in or near one of our five target states (MI, NC, OH, PA, VA). Some travel is required for in-person meetings and all-staff gatherings, and for important events and meetings in key states.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Collaborate with State Program Directors on the day-to-day on-the-ground organizing operations in our five key states.

  • Assist state team leadership in developing metrics and reporting structure to achieve growth and relational organizing goals

  • Oversee the implementation of comprehensive strategies that advance organizational objectives and are designed to accomplish growth and electoral goals

  • Conduct regular assessments of each state program and monitor and analyze key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of field activities.

  • Leverage data from EveryAction, VAN, and our relational organizing platform Rally, to inform decision-making, track program outcomes, and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives

  • Monitor and analyze the relational organizing actions in Rally to ensure they are clear, effective and align with organizational objectives

  • Coach, empower and lead the State Program Directors to ensure effective execution of state-focused programs

  • Maintain regular communications with State Program Directors on progress-to-goals and ensure there is a feedback loop of timely information to RWB leadership to help shape national strategy;

  • Support state teams in the selection, training and management of high-performing field staff.

  • Manage budgetary resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation for community organizing programs and campaigns.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinator for rapid response initiatives, working closely with State Program Directors to effectively execute rapid response needs.
