JOB DESCRIPTION

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee works with leading members of Congress, state

and local officials, and candidates. We mobilize hundreds of thousands of supporters across the

nation. We believe voters crave authentic outsiders who will shake up our broken political

system and challenge an economic status quo rigged for billionaires against working people.

If you agree, we are looking to hire Summer Fellows with strong skills in one or more of the

below categories. All positions are paid, full time, and last for the entire summer. If you have

multiple of the below skills, please let us know. (We can also craft part-time positions or

longer-term positions for graduating seniors.)

Apply by sending a resume and cover letter describing why you’d make a great Fellow to

jobs@boldprogressives.org.

TEXTING: We’re looking for a Texting Fellow who is good with data, detail oriented, and can

quickly become proficient in the logistics of a mass texting to our national membership —

someone who can test small with various audiences, go bigger methodically, and get things out

the door fast. This person should be able to turn long membership emails into short,

high-performing SMS or MMS messages, while being cost-conscious and judgment-savvy about

format choices. The ideal fellow will not just execute tests, but also do the analysis —

determining which tests win, being accountable for strong ROI, and carrying forward past

learnings from one test into future tests. Bonus points for someone who lives and breathes the

zeitgeist, turning news that is high-energy into text content. (If you also geek out on polls, we

can make this a Texting and Quantitative Fellow and integrate you into our polling work).

SOCIAL MEDIA: We’re seeking a Social Media Fellow with a proven record of building large,

engaged audiences on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and more. If you’ve grown

accounts into the tens of thousands (or more), created content that’s gone viral, or driven

measurable action from your posts — this role is for you. You’ll take the lead on crafting and

executing platform-specific strategies, editing and posting video content, and turning policy

messages into powerful social storytelling. Ideal candidates bring creativity, speed, strategic

thinking, and a deep understanding of what works across different platforms.

MEDIA RELATIONS: We’re hiring a Press Fellow with real-world media experience. Whether

you’ve reported for a newsroom or worked in a press shop, you understand the flow of news

cycles, what makes a story pitchable, and what news an advocacy organization can pounce on todrive news or activism. You’ll support morning news intake, help identify actionable

opportunities, and assist with drafting press notes and pitching media. Ideal candidates are detail

oriented, sharp and creative writers, news junkies, are comfortable picking up a phone, and

comfortable using AI tools to make work more strategic and efficient. By the end of the role,

fellows will be comfortable talking to reporters and pitching on their own.

ELECTORAL FELLOW: We’re seeking a Candidate Services Fellow to help our team’s

endorsement process and candidate support. This includes candidate research, data entry,

scheduling, contact management, and copywriting. Strong communication skills and the ability

to manage multiple tasks on deadline are essential for success. The ideal candidate has campaign

experience, is organized, proactive, and passionate about progressive candidates. Bonus points if

you are a Steve Kornacki fan and have encyclopedic knowledge of candidates, districts, and

election trends.

SPECIAL ASSISTANT (JACK OF ALL TRADES): We’re seeking a sharp, detail-oriented

Special Assistant to support the Director of Strategic Planning juggling multiple high-stakes

projects. The right person will ask good clarifying questions on the front end of a project,

execute with confidence, be detail oriented, return high-quality work, and carry lessons from one

project over to the next. If you’re organized, independent, and energized by keeping complex,

multi-track projects moving forward, this is your role. Strong project management instincts and a

track record of follow-through are a must.

TEAM OF TWO OR THREE (The Lonely Island Fellowship): If there is a team of people

who already have a proven track record of executing with excellence, and want to propose

something that fits our needs, go for it. If you happen to do amazing videos or have experienced

podcasting, we’re especially all ears
