Friends of Sherrod Brown is looking for a ** Texting Manager** for the 2026 election cycle. This is an opportunity to join a top tier Senate race and be on the front lines of the fight to elect a true fighter for workers who is taking on a rigged system.
This is a full-time, paid position based in Columbus, Ohio. This person will oversee one of the highest budget texting programs of the midterm cycle and work closely with the Digital Fundraising Director and consultants. An ideal candidate is a team player, knows how to make data-driven decisions, and has a knack for creativity.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing the broadcast SMS, P2P, and P2P rental programs, including calendaring, drafting copy, and producing messages.
Building and maintaining relationships with P2P rental vendors and keeping tabs on new vendors emerging in the space.
Providing recommendations for SMS acquisition sources and opportunities for list growth.
Tracking and analyzing metrics to make data-driven decisions based on results.
Thinking innovatively and strategically to maximize online fundraising opportunities, especially during rapid response moments
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with peer-to-peer and/or broadcast texting for political clients
Strong copywriting and copyediting skills
Knowledge of texting CRMs (Switchboard, Scale to Win, Tatango, etc.) required
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines
Experience in metrics and reporting in Excel and/or Google Sheets, designing reporting templates, and other data
Campaign experience is not required, but preferred
Willingness to work long campaign hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
