THE ROLE:
NextGen America is seeking a creative, self-starting Training Associate to help facilitate the Leaders Lab program this fall. The Leaders Lab is a student-focused training and development program that empowers campus leaders to become life-long organizers. The program includes organizing training, hands-on experience, professional development, and community-building in order to strengthen our democracy with young people at the center. The Training Associate will lead trainings for college students, manage student progress and program compliance, coach students in 1:1 meetings, and review and provide feedback to student work.

This role will report to the Leaders Lab Director and will work closely with our training team, state field programs, and our operations, communications, and development departments.
This is a fully remote position with no location requirement. We encourage candidates from all locations within the United States to apply.

WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE:
Facilitate 3-4 weekly student trainings of around 20 college students per cohort
Assist in tracking program compliance for student attendance and projects
Advise and coach students on organizing principles in 1:1 meetings
Maintain and update trainings and resources for student clubs and organizations
Manage the Leaders Lab Slack workspace to facilitate student engagement
Compile professional development resources for current students and alumni
Develop or assist in developing training materials as needed, including slide decks
ABOUT YOU:
Experience organizing on a college campus (e.g. registering voters, advocacy work). Volunteer experience counts!
Experience with delivering virtual trainings or presentations (we use Zoom).
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills that you have used to communicate with a diverse set of audiences.
Highly conscientious and organized.
Proficient in G Suite Products and Slack.

Experience running a campus club for voter registration or engagement
Campaign experience in an organizing capacity
Experience teaching, advising, or mentoring, especially to college students
SALARY INFORMATION:
The salary for this position is $62,000.
