ABOUT US
The Inseparable family of organizations are committed to life-changing progress in mental health and substance use care for all Americans. Our resolve to reshape the public policies that govern mental health care takes us deep into states and communities where we see strong potential for change. This same resolve drives our advocacy for federal policies, funding, and leadership. Launched in May 2020, Inseparable and its partner organization Inseparable Action have quickly become a driving advocacy force in the mental health field. We are proud of the unique strategic capabilities and teamwork that has led to over 80 wins in 20 states since 2022. We are advocates for hope and relentlessly focused on four policy areas: youth mental health, access to care, crisis response, and the mental health workforce. Inseparable Action’s sister organization, Mental Health PAC, exists to win good mental health policy by electing leaders who will champion access to care and take on the broken systems that stand in the way. Health is health. The health of our minds cannot be separated from the health of our bodies — and public policy should reflect that truth. As we head into the 2026 election cycle, we are significantly scaling our political engagement nationwide.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are seeking a seasoned, strategic Vice President of Political Affairs to lead Inseparable Action’s political strategy for the 2026 cycle and begin laying the groundwork for 2028. This role will spearhead our flagship Governors Project — engaging bipartisan candidates across 36 gubernatorial races — and help scale Mental Health PAC to deploy strategic investments to elect and protect mental health champions nationwide. This leader will translate high-level political relationships into meaningful advocacy impact — strengthening Inseparable Action’s influence with Governors, Attorneys General, Insurance Commissioners, Members of Congress, and key candidates across the country. The Vice President of Political Affairs will be instrumental in positioning mental health, including health insurance reform, as a winning electoral issue in 2026 and beyond.
This role will report to the Senior Vice President of Campaigns & Communications. This is a fully remote position. The starting salary for this role is $140,000 - $160,000. We offer a competitive benefits package including a full suite of health and wellness benefits at no cost to the employee, the opportunity to participate in a 401k plan (with an employer match), and generous paid time off.
