About the Role
The Vice President will work closely with the firm's partners, assist in managing staff, lead client teams, oversee on-location shoots, and produce TV/digital/radio advertising, as well as manage ad campaigns.
This is an ideal position for someone who loves politics, wants to positively impact upcoming races, and is familiar with or committed to learning more about the production world.
The Vice President will be given the immediate opportunity to contribute substantively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and be an integral part of a small organization.
Major Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with partners to develop client strategy & tactics
Coordinating production and post-production internally and with external vendors, including project management, and traveling to video shoots
Supervising client teams and internal staff
Managing the research, collection, and organization of assets needed for a project, including video, photos, music, and quotes for use in ads
Producing client-facing memos and reports
Assist in managing client media budgets
Monitoring and analyzing competitive media spending reports
Supervising ad delivery and traffic for multiple clients simultaneously
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified applicants will have experience at a political media firm or campaign-focused organization. Direct political campaign experience is required. Experience with creative development and/or video production for campaigns or progressive organizations is required.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following:
Two years minimum experience as a project manager, overseeing large projects, tracking progress, and delegating work across multiple team members, from initial planning to execution.
Three years minimum of production experience, working with a political or commercial media firm
Two cycles minimum working for political campaigns or progressive organizations in leadership positions
Two years minimum of people management experience, overseeing staff development
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Must be comfortable with long, irregular hours during peak seasons
Superior time management, the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Ability to work efficiently and autonomously, and be responsive
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Self-aware and constantly identifying ways to improve their skills
Driven to take initiative on new projects, but collaborative and willing to seek guidance from others
Track record of work performed with the highest standards of quality and excellence
Superior proficiency in standard office technologies and software, such as Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and G-Suite
An understanding of video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, is a plus
Understanding of conversational Spanish is a plus
Compensation
Combined base salary (annualized) + discretionary bonus range from $95,000 - $125,000+, dependent on experience, including competitive benefits, including employer subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurances, tech stipend, and 401k matching.
