Position Summary:
The Lander 2025 team is searching for a Videographer/Editor to help shape our campaign's visual storytelling. This person is responsible for filming, editing, and producing high-quality video content that engages, informs, and mobilizes our audience. The ideal candidate has a strong background in video production, understands the political landscape, and is adept at creating compelling narratives through visual media.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Production:
Film and edit campaign events, speeches, interviews, and promotional content.
Capture high-quality audio and visuals in various settings, including live events and field shoots.
Operate and maintain video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and microphones.
Editing and Post-Production:
Edit video content using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Create compelling narratives through storytelling, motion graphics, and dynamic visual elements.
Optimize videos for different digital platforms, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
Digital Content Creation:
Produce video content tailored for social media, campaign ads, and digital organizing efforts.
Work with the communications team to develop creative concepts for video storytelling.
Adapt content for multiple formats, including short-form social media clips, long-form event recaps, and campaign ads.
Collaboration and Strategy:
Work closely with the communications, digital, and field teams to align video content with campaign goals.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative strategies for voter engagement and mobilization.
Ensure all video content maintains brand consistency and aligns with the campaign’s messaging.
Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 2-4 years of experience in videography, video editing, and digital media production.
Experience working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines, preferably in political campaigns, advocacy, or nonprofit work.
Skills:
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Strong understanding of storytelling, composition, lighting, and sound design.
Familiarity with social media platforms and video optimization for digital channels.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with political campaign messaging and digital media strategies.
Experience producing content for diverse and multilingual audiences.
Knowledge of live streaming production and editing.
Experience with motion graphics and animation
Working Conditions:
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by campaign schedules.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks, such as setting up for events.
Compensation:
Salary is $4000-$5000/month and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
