BACKGROUND

OneAmerica (OA) was established in 2001 by U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal and has since grown to become a locally and nationally recognized leader in advancing immigrant, civil, and human rights. We utilize grassroots organizing, policy advocacy, and civic/electoral engagement to promote justice in three areas: immigration, education and early learning, and democracy. Our family of organizations consists of  OneAmerica (501(c)3), OneAmerica Votes (OA) (501(c)4), OneAmerica Votes Justice Fund (State PAC), and OneAmerica Votes Justice for All Fund (Federal PAC).

OA envisions a peaceful world where every person’s human rights and dignity are respected, where communities appreciate differences and stand together for justice and equality, and where each person contributes to the common good. All of our work is grounded in our Theory of Change and guided by the conviction that people directly impacted should lead our movement for justice because they are best equipped to create real solutions that build lasting power. Grassroots immigrant leaders (our base) drive priorities across our organization.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

OneAmerica is seeking an outgoing and driven individual to join our team as a Volunteer and Field Coordinator. This person will be responsible for training and launching allies and community members into the field to participate in our deep listening canvass and phone bank program. In 2025, OneAmerica launched the program across King, Yakima, and Clark Counties. With this launch, we found that immigrants and the broader multiracial working class are hungry to build power within their own communities. The person in this role will have the opportunity to build on and scale the work as we continue to grow our program in 2026.

  • Attend community events to build relationships and bring new people into OA
