The Colorado Democratic Party is seeking a Data and Volunteer Coordinator to join our growing team. 2026 features competitive races up and down the ballot in Colorado, including the election of John Hickenlooper (US Senate), Phil Weiser (Governor), Jena Griswold (Attorney General), Amanda Gonzalez (Secretary of State), and Jeff Bridges (Treasurer), alongside competitive US House races. The Coordinated Campaign will persuade and mobilize voters to support Colorado’s Democrats in November 2026.
The primary responsibility of the Voter Protection Data and Volunteer Coordinator is to assist the Voter Protection Director (VPD) with organizing and processing data related to poll watchers. The Voter Protection team trains poll watchers, and then processes appointment credentialing paperwork in the relevant county for each watcher in coordination with the local clerk’s office and the local Democratic Party County Officers.
Experience with Votebuilder/VAN, LBJ, and/or advanced spreadsheeting;
Organizing poll watchers throughout the state;
Assisting with the compilation of target volunteer lists, tracking when a volunteer is trained, creating volunteer lists to submit to each county clerk’s office for appointment credentialing, creating volunteer lists for follow up, communicating with local party officials about the lists of volunteers our team is submitting to clerks’ offices;
Distributing appointment credentials AND training certificates to volunteers;
Using LBJ to schedule volunteers on Election Day, in targeted locations during Early Voting, and in Counting Rooms following the election;
Communicating shift assignments to poll watchers and flying squad members and responding to their questions in a timely manner;
Building relationships with key county election administrators;
Gathering information about how each county conducts elections;
Collaborating with the VPD and Data Director to create a centralized database of Voter Service and Polling Centers, dropboxes, and ballot processing facilities in LBJ;
Contributing to the technical and operational needs of a Voter Protection boiler room during active elections;
Troubleshoot issues as they arise;
Complete other responsibilities as assigned;
Working in coordination with other Coordinated Campaign departments to build capacity in the counties, organize volunteers, train Democrats and raise needed funds; and
Maintaining a current knowledge of Voter Protection related lawsuits and current events, as well as a current knowledge of Party activities, goals and of general Democratic political news.

Experience participating in a Voter Protection Program preferred but not required;
Demonstrated experience with managing large volumes of data related to volunteers;
Experience using votebuilder and LBJ;
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Zoom events including registration;
Familiarity with Colorado election law, or willing to learn quickly;
Experience as poll watcher or trainer preferred;
Extreme attention to detail and strategic viewpoints;
Political organizing and/or campaign experience;
Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
Exceptional people skills and patience;
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously under strict deadlines;
Responsive and positive team player who enjoys versatility and constant new challenges;
Unwavering commitment to accuracy and results;
Self-starter;
Bachelor's Degree and at least three years of related work experience, law degree preferred; and
Comfortable cold calling.
