Warren for Senate seeks a communications staffer to support Elizabeth Warren’s re-election effort. The ideal candidate is based in Massachusetts and eager to grow their writing and research skills in support of the Senator’s agenda for working people.
Responsibilities
Draft memos, press releases, media advisories, and other written press materials as needed
Oversee logistics for press events and advance them as needed, with opportunities to staff the candidate and surrogates later in the race
Monitor media, including monitoring Twitter and flagging clips and breaking news
Pitch campaign events to secure RSVPs and media coverage
Assist with logistics and advance for press events as needed
Help direct incoming press inquiries
Format and send press releases and help keep website updated
Help with other assignments and tasks as requested
Qualifications:
Strong reading, writing, and editing skills
Internship or work experience in a communications, writing, research, or policy focused role
Experience with political campaigns is helpful but not required
Available to start work in August 2024
The ideal candidate will be based in the Greater Boston area or Massachusetts and will have access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
